The Factors Affecting Election of Mayor of Paphai Subdistrict Municipality, San Sai District, Chiangmai Province

Abstract

This research studies factors affecting the voting of the Mayor of Pa Phai sub-district municipality, San Sai district, Chiang Mai province. It is a quantitative research study by using a survey research method using a questionnaire. It is a tool used to collect data from a sample of people who have the right to vote for the Mayor of Pa Phai subdistrict. The purposes of this research whre to know the important factors affecting the election risk score of the Mayor of PaPhai sub-district, A sample of 386 voters in Pa Phai municipality was sampled and analyzed by stepwise multiple regression analysis. analysis)

 The research results fond that three factors affect the voting in the election, which are different in descending order. The most influential affecting of voting in the election is the campaing strategy, followed by public donations and various cheats, respectively, which can uscd to write mathematical equations as follows; Obtaining the vote 1= 9.41+0.51 Camping +0.25 Donation+0.16 Fraud

This research suggests that government agencies responsible for organizing elections should find ways to prevent fraud and briberg of officials so that flfctions are fair and honest. Moreover, find ways to prevent the distribution of property money through agents, canvassers, or distribted birectly to voters in various forms. As for politicians or local leaders, they should consider various factors in the egnation to dctermihe which factors inflhence them and their party representatives to win the election. For resedrchers, this method should expand the scope of research even further until it can create a modern political theory
