The Body of Knowledge of Political Philosophy in Thai Universities

This article aims at to survey the body of knowledge in political philosophy in Thai university. The study was employed a qualitative research methodology which was focus on documentary study ; such as text book, article, journal and academic stuff. This research also surveyed the problems, difficulties and some prospect in the study of political philosophy.
The result of the study found that the body of knowledge in political philosophy in Thai university were insufficient. The main problem was a lacks of canons or original text of the great western political philosophers which were translated into Thai language made student inaccessible to true essence, main thought or important idea of the thinkers. The problem was also appeared in shorten of the interpretation and analysis of classical texts and ideas. The pedagogy tradition which discouraged students from asking a questions and critical thinking also the main obstacle.
