DOI Crossref System Now in Use, Starting from Volume 20, Issue 2 (May - August 2026)

The journal's editorial board is pleased to announce the adoption of the DOI Crossref system, effective from Volume 20, Issue 2 (May - August 2026) onward. This initiative aims to enhance the credibility of published research and facilitate easier access to academic articles through a unique DOI (Digital Object Identifier) assigned to each article.

Having a DOI makes it easier for readers to locate and cite articles published in the journal. It also helps verify the accuracy of cited sources and ensures continued access to articles even if the URL or web address changes in the future.

Note: For articles that received an acceptance letter before the DOI Crossref system was implemented, the editorial board will assign DOIs free of charge (no retroactive fees will be charged). DOIs will also be assigned retroactively back to Volume 17, Issue 1 (January - April 2023).

Notification of Change in Article Page Numbering Format

Journal of Global Perspectives in Humanities and Social Sciences (formerly the Graduate Studies Journal of Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage) would like to announce a change in the article page numbering format.

From the previous consecutive page numbering system throughout the entire issue, such as 1-12, 13-24, the format will be changed to an Article ID system.

The letter "e" will be designated to mean "electronic," followed by the article number, which is the same number as the submission ID in the ThaiJO system, such as e279067, replacing page numbers from now onwards.

Announcement: Publication Fees for J-GPHSS

Following the Graduate School, Valaya Alongkron Rajabhat University under Royal Patronage’s decision to rename the journal to Journal of Global Perspectives in Humanities and Social Sciences (J-GPHSS), the journal hereby announces the publication fee rates as follows:

Authors are required to pay a fee of 7,000 THB per article. This payment must be made once the manuscript has passed the initial screening for accuracy, completeness, and quality by the Editorial Board, prior to being sent for peer review. The Editor will notify the author when payment is required.
Payment of the fee does not guarantee publication. The manuscript must still undergo the evaluation process by peer reviewers and the Editorial Board. If the manuscript fails the evaluation or the author withdraws the submission, the fee remains applicable to the review process.

Announcement: Change of Journal Name, Aims, and Scope

To elevate the journal to an international standard, the Journal of Graduate Studies Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University has implemented the following changes:

The journal is renamed “Journal of Global Perspectives in Humanities and Social Sciences (J-GPHSS)”. There is no official Thai name for the new title. This change is effective starting from Vol. 20 No. 3 (September – December 2026).

Ceasing Acceptance of Thai Manuscripts

Change of International Standard Serial Number (ISSN Online)

The Journal of Graduate Studies, Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under Royal Patronage, announces a change in its ISSN (Online) to ensure the English title aligns with the TCI (Thai Journal Citation Index) Quality Assessment criteria for the 5th round (2025–2029). The original ISSN: 1905-9647 (Print) has been replaced by ISSN: 2985-1491 (Online), effective since Vol. 17 No. 2 (May–August 2023).

วารสารบัณฑิตศึกษา มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏวไลยอลงกรณ์ ในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์ มีความพยายามที่จะพัฒนาคุณภาพวารสารเพื่อผลักดันวารสารเข้าสู่ฐานข้อมูล ACI ซึ่งเป็นฐานข้อมูลระดับอาเซียน ดังนั้น กองบรรณาธิการวารสารฯ จึงกำหนดรูปแบบการพิมพ์เอกสารอ้างอิงให้เขียนตามแบบ APA (American Psychological Association) หากรายการอ้างอิงเป็นของคนไทยในเอกสารอ้างอิงจะต้องแปลเป็นภาษาอังกฤษทุกรายการ และยึดหลักการถอดอักษรไทยเป็นโรมัน เริ่มใช้ตั้งแต่ในเล่ม ปีที่ 13 ฉบับที่ 1 (Vol 13 No. 1) เป็นต้นไป
