Woman - Faith – Satan and God: Christianity’s parody topics in Rapture Palooza movie

Abstract

This article presents about Christianity’s parody topics in Rapture Palooza movie by criticize character’s behaviors and conversations in three topics. Woman’s image, the faith in religion, and Satan and God’s image. These three parody topics reflect to the Humanism ideology that believe in human’s potential and ability. And the presentation of heroine’s characteristic on the woman character that reflect to the Feminism ideology. And the parody on Satan and God’s image that combine to the actor skin’s color and race can also reflect to the social bias on people who have different race in American society. These three parody topics refer to the main idea of this movie that show the reluctance of the theism religions and to celebrate “white” human who is reasonable and have ability to deal with troubles. Moreover, movie’s main idea can reflect the status of Christianity and the social bias on color and race in present society.
