THE SCHOOL CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT OF WATJANTRAWART (SUKPRASARNRAT) SCHOOL

Abstract

 The purposes of this study were to know 1) the school curriculum development of Watjantrawart (Sukprasarnrat) School. 2) Watjantrawart (Sukprasarnrat) School curriculum development guidelines. The sample groups were personnel of Watjantrawart (Sukprasarnrat) School of 80 people. Opinion questionnaires and focus group discussion form were used as research tools. The statistics used in data analysis were frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and content analysis.

The findings indicated that:

1. The school curriculum development of Watjantrawart (Sukprasarnrat) School was of overall and in each aspect were at a high level. The arithmetic mean values were arranged in the following order: Selection of learning experiences, Selection of contents, Organization of learning experiences, Organization of contents, Diagnose needs, Evaluation and means of evaluation, and Formulation of objectives.
2. Guidelines for the school curriculum development of Watjantrawart (Sukprasarnrat) School. There are 19 approaches can be summarized as follows: Explore community and student needs organize a school board meeting to analyze the context of the community and set up a working group and develop personnel to have knowledge. Organize training for teachers in setting objectives and formulating courses in accordance with the development and age of learners. Determine the course structure appropriate and develop an integrated learning unit between subject groups. Organize teaching and learning is appropriate to the current situation. Provide elective various and student development activities that allow learners to participate according to their interests. Arrange for teachers to teach according to their own subject area and develop appropriate teaching. Provide adequate media and technology. School director is encouraging teachers created and develop media and organize activities for students to practice. Organize training on the design of measurement and evaluation methods and use the assessment results to improve and develop the curriculum of educational institutions further.
