สองหัวดีกว่าหัวเดียว บทบาทของชุมชนการเรียนรู้ทางวิชาชีพ
Abstract
ชุมชนการเรียนรู้ทางวิชาชีพ หรือบางแห่งใช้ว่าการเรียนรู้ ซึ่งตรงกับภาษาอังกฤษว่า Professional Learning Community (PLC) เป็นแนวคิดและกิจกรรมที่กำลังได้รับความสนใจ และความนิยมอย่างกว้างขวางในวงการศึกษาของไทยเอง และของต่างประเทศ โดยเชื่อกันว่ากิจกรรม PLC นี้ จะนำมาซึ่งคุณภาพของการศึกษา ทั้งคุณภาพผู้เรียน ผู้สอน บุคลากร และตัวผู้บริหารเอง
โดยทั่วไปแล้วในต่างประเทศจะใช้กิจกรรม PLC ในโรงเรียนมากกว่าหน่วยงานกลางอื่น ๆ หรือกลุ่มของครู ประเภทต่าง ๆ (Murphy, 2017) เป้าหมาย PLC ในโรงเรียนนั้นจะเป็นไปที่ตัวเด็ก คือ ครูทำงานร่วมกัน (ในโรงเรียนร่วมกับผู้บริหาร) คำไทยเรามีว่า สองหัว (หรือหลายหัว) ดีกว่าหัวเดียว ว่าเป็นความคิดในเชิงชุมชนวิชาชีพของไทยเรานั้นเอง ซึ่งเชื่อกันมานานแล้ว การทำงานเรื่องใด ควรทำร่วมกันโดยเฉพาะการแก้ปัญหาเด็ก และหาทางให้เด็กในโรงเรียนของตนมีคุณภาพดีขึ้น
ทำไมต้องมี Community อย่งนี้ขึ้นมาในโรงเรียน การบริหารปกติไม่พอหรือ คำตอบคือ ไม่พอเพราะปัญหาเด็กมีมาก ผู้บริหารเองมามีเวลาพอที่จะแก้ปัญหาได้ทัน อีกประการหนึ่งหลายปัญหาผู้บริหารเองไม่ชำนาญพอที่จะทำเองได้ จึงเกิดความคิดในการนำครู (หรือกลุ่มครู) เข้ามาร่วมในการบริหารวิชาการในลักษณะของ Shared Leadership ยังไม่ใช่ Delegated Leadership (Wilhelm, 2017) ซึ่งเป็นที่มรของ PLC ในสถานศึกษานั่นเอง
