Development of Motivational Promoting Model for Teacher Performance in Medium-sized Schools under the Nakhonpathom Primary Educational Service Area Office 1

Abstract

The purposes of the research and development were to 1) study the problems of motivational promoting for teacher performance in medium-sized schools under the Nakhonpathom Primary Educational Service Area Office 1; 2) design and construct the model; 3) evaluate the model; 4) compare the result of practice between pre and posttest and; 5) study the result of implementing model on efficiency, effectiveness and value. The population includes 68medium-sized schools under the Nakhonpathom Primary Educational Service Area Office Area 1. The sample was 59 schools by Krejci and Morgan table and key performants were purposive sampling from each school composed of administrators and teachers, totally 118 respondents. Watsasiliem school was the experimental school with 10 participants in practical. The instruments were the opinion questionnaire, opinion questionnaire evaluation form, AA-RR-IE Model, evaluation model form, experimental action plan, evaluation form for before and after experiment and evaluation form for efficiency, effectiveness, and value of the model.
The instruments were developed by 5 experts to verify content validity (IOC) value between 0.80-1.00, and the reliability of Cronbach’s method reliability value of .90. The statistical analysis with frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, content analysis, t-test and content analysis. The results revealed that; 1) the problems of motivational promoting for teacher performance was low levels considering each item, it was found that praising or giving awards or certificates when teachers have successful or outstanding work or performance, there is a good relationship between teachers and school personnel, there is a good relationship between teachers and student and participate in school operations is at a moderate level; 2) AA-RR-IE model composted of awareness, assignment, reinforcement, relationship, involvement and environment;
3) the result of evaluation of the model by IOC was between point 0.80-1.00; 4) the posttest was higher than pretest as the statistical significant at .01 level and 5) the result of implementing model for efficiency, effectiveness and value were the highest levels.
