The internationalization of academic institutions is important in the age of globalization and the world university ranking. The success of any organization mission requires engagement from personnel at all levels. This research explored the personnel opinions on the international strategy of the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University. The study was a cross-sectional survey during 2018-2019. There were 267 respondents (33% of all personnel), consisting of academic personnel (n = 68), general supporting staff (n = 106) and professional supporting staff (n = 93). The majority of respondents have a positive attitude towards the internationalization of the faculty and high confidence towards the international vision and the effectiveness of the English proficiency of academic personnel. Agreement to the necessity of English communication and further international development. The overall score of the questionnaire was moderate to high, the mean score (mean+SD) deviated from the highest (3.83+0.42) on the internationalization of the faculty and the least (2.95+0.91) on the confidence of their own English skills. Most people (76%) were willing to join the future English Proficiency Test and all agreed to participate in one of 3 proposed English programs i.e. English classes (46.4%), English communication forum (23.6%), and scholarships/study trips (30%). This study shows that personnel at all levels agree with the vision and sustainment of the internationalization of the faculty and are willing to continue improving their English proficiency. This is a case study of finding data from foundations to support the organization's strategic development model.
