Abstract

The objectives of this research article was to develop creative tourism based on community wisdom heritage. The three action procedures include 1) preparation: survey and evaluation of tourism capacity of local wisdom heritage of 23 cases of community of practice. The data has been derived from in-depth review and focus group together with quantitative data from 200 cases of people; 2) implementing creative tourism activity development; and 3) conducting satisfaction assessment with 400 cases of tourists and opinion exchange among community of practice. The descriptive statistics and content analysis are applied for data analysis. The results prove that Ban Nonthan is Lao Viang Ethnic Community with outstanding wisdom heritage in six aspects as follows: 1) arts; 2) rituals, traditions and beliefs; 3) agricultures; 4) nutrition and local foods; 5) handicrafts; and 6) traditional medical. The resolutions of meeting select weaving for 8-learning base creative tourism to accommodate one-day trip tourists. The research results lead to tourism activities, occupation and incomes. Besides, the weaving wisdom heritage activity can be applied in other areas with similar context to improve creative tourism for quality living enhancement.
