THE NEEDS ASSESSMENT IN TRAINING TO DEVELOP SKILL TO DRESS UP KHON-DRAMA (YEUN KREUANG) FOR TEACHER OF ART LEARNING FOCUSING ON THAI DANCE THE SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE 4 IN PATHUMTHANI PROVINCE

Abstract

     This survey research aimed to study and evaluate the needs assessment in the training to develop Khon-Drama (YEUN KREUANG) dressing skill by gathering information from the example groups which were 43 teachers from the department of Arts (Thai Dance) under the 4^th Secondary Educational Service Area, Patumthani. The method applied was the Simple Random Sampling and Dual-Response format assessment whose Content Validity, Index of Congruent or IOC were examined by experts and were analyzed for Alpha Coefficient. The statistics used in the analysis was Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation and Priority Needs Index.

     The study of the analysis of the needs assessment for the training to develop Khon-Drama (YEUN KREUANG) dressing skill of the teachers from the department of Arts (Thai Dance) under the 4^th Secondary Educational Service Area, Patumthani found that the expected operational status of the example group were required in every subjects indexing the priority of importance of the needs were between 0.18 – 0.56. The most indexed importance was the element of Khon-Drama dressing (0.56), next was the Khon-Drama dressing (0.49) and the lowest important subject was the tightening Khon-Drama costumes (0.18) respectively.

     According to the analysis of the needs assessment for the training to develop Khon-Drama (YEUN KREUANG) dressing skill of the teachers from the department of Arts (Thai Dance) under the 4^th Secondary Educational Service Area, Patumthani, it had been divided into 3 aspects; 1.) Comparing the means of the element of Khon-Drama dressing by Paired-Samples T-Test in the current operational status and the expected operational status found that the means of element of Khon-Drama dressing in the current operational status and the expected operational status was, statistically, different at 0.05 significantly and the analysis also found that the mean of the current operational status (= 1.95) was lower than the mean of the expected operational status (= 3.05). It indicated that the element of Khon-Drama dressing was necessary for the training. 2.) Comparing the means of the Khon-Drama dressing by Paired-Samples T-Test in the current operational status and the expected operational status found that the means of Khon-Drama dressing in the current operational status and the expected operational status was, statistically, different at 0.05 significantly and the analysis also found that the mean of the current operational status (= 2.70) was lower than the mean of the expected operational status (= 4.02). It indicated that Khon-Drama dressing was necessary for the training. 3.) Comparing the means of the Khon-Drama dressing by Paired-Samples T-Test in the current operational status and the expected operational status found that the means of Khon-Drama dressing in the current operational status and the expected operational status was, statistically, different at 0.05 significantly and the analysis also found that the mean of the current operational status (= 2.93) was lower than the mean of the expected operational status (= 3.45). It indicated that tightening Khon-Drama costumes was necessary for the training.
