บทคัดย่อ
The objectives of this research in the study of hand-weaving silk in Surin province. Firstly, it is intended to study about the pattern, color, management and process of hand-weaving silk. Secondly, this research is focusing on lifestyle and belief of local people who produce hand-weaving silk. Thirdly, the method of teaching about wisdom and the creation of new weavers generation. Fourthly, demand and supply of hand-weaving silk.
Findings of this research in Surin province has shown that: There were 5 different types of silk: Ikat is the most produced upper than Pha Sarong, Pha Yok, Alui-Siam, Silk textile, Soft silk fabrics and Kit. The popular colors of silk are contrast shades as yellow, red, brown, purple and green with some pattern insertion. Currently, there are more shades from chemical dye. Ikat pattern can be divided by three groups which are Geometric diamond pattern, Natural pattern and Animal pattern. The management of weaver groups has two types as self-sufficient in kinship and community network sharing. In lifestyle, belief and demand of hand-weaving silk, found that The community integrate the folk traditions with national traditions. Activities promoting people to use hand-weaving silk are supported by the government. The method of educating about wisdom through hand-weaving silk and creating new generation of weavers is the coaching process within community itself, from common educating to complex exercise. The supports from the government are training and lecture to promote skillful weavers. The study of consumption on hand-weaving silk found that, the weaving-silks are specialized sericulture which intellectual knowledge can be inheritedDownloads
