บทคัดย่อ

This research is divided into two parts. The first part is a comparative study between the archetypes which influences Metrosexual and Ubersexual people. The second part will discuss the comparative study of the graphic design between the archetypes of Metrosexual male and Ubersexual male. The research is executed by using the descriptive analysis and online questionnaires. Four-hundred Thai males aged 20 and over are the representative samples, who then assorted equally into 200 Metrosexual and 200 Ubersexual, and break into 21 archetypes. Later, the two groups will select which archetypes influence their personalities the most. On this first part, the two groups have to choose the archetypes by listed them in order from the one that influences them the most to the last. As a result, the research found that the 10 archetypes which influence Metrosexual the most are Creator, Dreamer, Everyman, Companion, Angel, Jester, Seeker, Caregiver, Warrior and Healer respectively. On the other hand, the Ubersexual choose 11 archetypes which are Creator, Healer, Everyman, Angel, Adventurer, Warrior, Caregiver, Companion, Dreamer, Sage and Explorer respectively.
Interestingly, there are 2 archetypes that can influence only Metrosexual group: Jester and Seeker. Also, there are 3 archetypes that have an influence only on Ubersexual group: Adventurer, Sage and Explorer. However, there are 8 archetypes that these two groups share their interest: Creator, Dreamer, Everyman, Companion, Angel, Caregiver, Warrior and Healer. According to the order of their answers, the interesting point is that there are 2 archetypes that are exactly on the same rank in these two groups: Creator which is on the first place and Everyman which is on the third place. There are 4 archetypes that are almost on the same position. Angel and Caregiver are only 1 rank away, Warrior and Companion are 3 and 4 rank away respectively. There are 2 archetypes which are placed distantly: Dreamer and Healer. Metrosexual placed Dreamer on the second rank and Healer on the tenth rank. In contrast, Ubersexual placed Healer on the second rank and Dreamer on the ninth rank of the list.
