Abstract

The creative project titled “Continued Horizon” purposed to questioning the
limit of human perception which affected to the understanding of worldly phenomena through art processing, presented by using video installation depending on exhibition space. In the meaning of duty of art which an expression and
communication tool, It’s made to understanding in the different connections
between humans in the contemporary society.
The changes in Thai society in the last decade have led me to question the limit
of public awareness and interpretation of social phenomena. This includes the
designation of historical and cultural values, social norms, and multi-dimensional
political expressions. These questions are shaped into different art experiences
presented by the artist and audience; the researcher used different philosophical concepts and art processes in an attempt to formulate the answers to those
questions. By art expression, researcher picked visual art to express my ideas,
using installation and video arts which are presented through visual tools like
LED monitors and an image ratio processor. Besides, the questioning of the limit
of our perception, researcher also gives the meaning “memories” not merely
as some machination of our brain, but the narration of social status quo which
all affected to the interpretation of social phenomena in Thai society. In the
summary and analysis, the visual project “Continued Horizon” it is found that
the following of the objective; content, style and techniques, installation effected to perception, lighting in exhibition area and interpretation that leads to
understanding through the audience experience. However, Understanding the
meaning and horizon in art does not need to be a consensus. But it stretches
the horizon out of the limits of perception; it is an understanding of the meaning of sharing and has learned another horizon that makes us understand own
horizon better.
