Abstract

Creativity is an important tool for driving Thailand to the innovation society follow the government policy. Higher education institutions are responsible for the preparation of Thai youth to support the labor market for the creative industries in the future. Therefore, it should promote the creation of all creative processes.This research aims to develop the pop up activities making to enhance creative thinking of art and design undergraduate students in different contexts and to study comparison of the contexts that affecting toward enhancement of creative thinking of art and design undergraduate students. This research was quantitative research. The samples were 50 third–year students of Applied Art and Design program of Faculty of Architecture and Design of King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok. Samples were divided by two groups; first group was the time strict learning type and second group was the time flexible learning type. The research tools were creative thinking test and planning of pop up activities making to enhance creative thinking. Then the collected data were statistically analyzed by using basic statistic and t-test. The results revealed that 1) creative thinking before and after making pop up activities to enhance creativity showed significant differences on the score of creative thinking at 95% confidence level 2) time strict learning type group and time flexible learning type group showed no significant differences on the score of creative thinking at 95% and 3) gender showed significant differences on the score of creative thinking at 95% confidence level.
