Abstract
การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ (1) เพื่อวิเคราะห์ความสามารถในการแข่งขันในอุตสาหกรรมการประชุมการท่องเที่ยวเพื่อจูงใจการประชุมการจัดนิทรรศการ (MICE) และ (2) เพื่อศึกษาแนวทางการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมไมซ์ในระเบียงเศรษฐกิจภาคตะวันออก (EEC) ของประเทศไทย การวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพใช้วิธีการสัมภาษณ์แบบสัมภาษณ์ผู้จัดงานการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย (ททท.) และผู้เชี่ยวชาญจากสำนักงานส่งเสริมการจัดประชุมและนิทรรศการ (องค์การมหาชน) จำนวน 20 คน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า (1) ระเบียงเศรษฐกิจภาคตะวันออกมีความสามารถในการแข่งขันในอุตสาหกรรมไมซ์มากที่สุดในด้านการเดินทางที่เป็นแรงจูงใจรองลงมาคือการประชุมนิทรรศการและการประชุมตามลำดับ (2) ปัจจัยแห่งความสำเร็จที่มีส่วนสนับสนุนและทำให้ภาคตะวันออก ระเบียงเศรษฐกิจในฐานะ "เมืองแห่งไมซ์" เป็นนโยบายการพัฒนาที่ชัดเจนและเป็นรูปธรรมและภาครัฐและเอกชนสนับสนุนเพื่อรองรับการเติบโตและความต้องการที่เพิ่มขึ้นของธุรกิจ การดำเนินกลยุทธ์หลักเพื่อพัฒนาขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของอุตสาหกรรมไมซ์ ได้แก่ การจัดการเชิงกลยุทธ์ตามด้วยกรอบบูรณาการของการทำงานร่วมกันสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกและการปรับปรุงโครงสร้างพื้นฐานการพัฒนาศักยภาพของพันธมิตรและบุคลากรในอุตสาหกรรมไมซ์และการปรับปรุงระบบโลจิสติกส์ตามลำดับ
