The Proficiency of Tour Guides in Phuket Province from the Tourist’s Perspective -

Abstract
The purposes of this study were to study and compare the opinions on the Proficiency of tour guide. The sample of this study are Thai and foreign tourists visiting Phuket. The sample size was 422. The results show that tourists' opinions have great Proficiency for Phuket Tour Guide. In terms of transfer - out, the highest average level, followed by transfer - in. The last aspect is tourism. Tourists with different gender, age, nationality, occupation and status had different opinions on the potential of Phuket tourist guide. However, there is no significant difference among tourists with different educational levels. The opinion of the Phuket tourist guide is significantly different at the .05 level as a whole.
