A study of Factors affecting depression in adolescents from Chonburi.

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study the causes of depression among adolescents from Chonburi. This research was survey research to find out the causes of depression among adolescents from Chonburi. The sample group of the research was 400 from Chonburi. By using judgmental sampling data were collected by 2 types of questionnaire personal, Independent, Depressing Evaluation form (CES-D) in teenagers. Statistically analyzed by using percentage, mean, standard deviation and hypothesis testing by using Pearson Correlation and Logistic and statistic data processed by a computer program. The result showed that from 400 samples that researchers were trying to find out the causes of depression from the sample group in Chonburi, there are 3 causes Family, Education, Stress. Considered from each side found that family causes depression significantly .05(=61.349, p=.000), Education causes (=33.277, p= .015) and Stress cause (=61.349, p= .033). Stress is the most cause of depression Analyzed by statistics testing relation independent with depression respectively.
