Digital Wisdom: Concept, Principle and Application for Development

Abstract

This article aims to study the concepts, principle and application of digital wisdom for Development. Since the digital technology plays a very important role in day-to-day life in terms of working as well as living, therefore, learning and creating the digital wisdom is significant as it brings about the new wisdom or digital wisdom. It is the digital wisdom that was carried out from integrations between digital skills and morality, in both professional and personal aspects of human life. The cultivation of digital wisdom is therefore essential, as it represents a new form of knowledge that emerges from integrating human insights with digital technology, resulting in the skills and competencies needed to use digital tools effectively and ethically. The study found that: 1) The key concept of digital wisdom is the use of knowledge and innovation from digital technology, including data storage, processing, and communication, to improve quality of life, economic and social development. 2) The key principles of digital wisdom include digital technology knowledge, digital technology skill, digital technology access, critical thinking, digital media communication, creativity and innovation, lifelong learning, and digital ethics. 3) guidelines for applying the digital wisdom for development include the study, working, and organization administration, community and social development, research and development, and economical development. Therefore, the digital wisdom is knowledge, ability, and skills in using digital technology as to enhance the capacity of society, economics, and environments to be sustainable and fair for all, so that it can be effectively applied in the policy and strategies for developing a country in the digital age.
