Administrative Factors Based on the Four Brahmavihara Principles Affecting the Effectiveness of Schools under the Yasothon Primary Educational Service Area Office 2

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to analyze administrative factors based on the Four Brahmavihara Principles affecting the effectiveness of schools under the Yasothon Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The sample consisted of 304 school administrators and teachers, selected through multi-stage random sampling. The research instrument was a five-point Likert scale questionnaire, which was verified for content validity by experts and had a reliability coefficient of 0.94. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The findings revealed that administrative factors based on the Four Brahmavihara Principles comprised five components: organizational structure, organizational climate and culture, personnel development, information technology, and leadership. Overall, these factors were rated at a high level and were positively correlated with school effectiveness at the .01 level of statistical significance. The stepwise multiple regression analysis showed that leadership, personnel development, information technology, organizational structure, and organizational climate and culture jointly predicted school effectiveness, explaining 82.10 percent of the variance (R = .906, R² = .821, Adjusted R² = .817, S.E. = .056, p < .01). The predictive equation was Zᵧ = 0.228(Z₁) + 0.342(Z₂) + 0.362(Z₃) + 0.138(Z₄) + 0.190(Z₅), indicating that leadership and personnel development were the most influential variables affecting school effectiveness at the .01 level of statistical significance.
