Aesthetics of Tourism In The Tai Dam Ethnicity Museum Village: A Case Study of Ban Na Pa Nad, Khao Kaew Subdistrict, Chiang Khan District, Loei Province

Abstract

This academic article aims to study the tourism aesthetic of the Tai Dam Ethnicity Museum Village, located in Ban Na Pa Nad, Khao Kaew Subdistrict, Chiang Khan District, Loei Province, Thailand by collecting the data from document and filed study. The obtained data was analyzed by using content analysis. The findings reveal that the Tai Dam Ethnicity Museum Village was constructed on private land to collect valuable cultural objects and to be tourism area. The museum exhibits the concrete cultural data on the history such as Tai Dam houses, clothes, Tai Dam alphabets, hand-woven fabrics, and Tum Nok Kum Noo, as well as, the abstract cultural data including history, beliefs, ceremonies, and folk games through the narratives told by the interpreters. The area is a kind of living tourism area to provide variously valuable experiences such as creating the atmosphere for the whole area. Additionally, the living tourism activities for exhibiting cultural objects emphasize on encouraging the visitors’ senses perceived from practicing, listening to the lectures, walking to touch and perceive on their own through their intuition, touching, thinking, and classifying. And, the analysis of tourism aesthetics hidden in the Tai Dam house museum was divided into 2 parts: content and pattern obtained from the simulation of living space, and there are various elements for promoting tourism namely cultural objects, people, architectures, atmosphere, time, movement, management, and service affecting aesthetic experience.
