Procedures For Dealing With Children and Youth Who Commit Drug-Related Offenses With Different Age Ranges

Abstract
This research was a qualitative research. The objectives of this study were to study the procedures for dealing with drug-related juveniles of different ages. Key informants in the research were (1) in-depth interviews. Persons with experience in dealing with children and youth who deal with drugs, number 60 people. (2) focus group discussion. To establish procedures for dealing with drug-related offenders of children and youth of different ages. A purposive selection was made from 15 experts on dealing directly with children and youth offenders related to drug offences, and content analysis was performed.
The results showed that Actions against children and youth who commit drug-related offenses are divided into 3 groups: (1) Actions against children under 12 years of age; The Juvenile and Family Court Act and Juvenile and Family Trial Procedures B.E. 2553, Section 69/1 (2), is an action against children over 12 but not over 15 years of age. The second case met with the investigator without being arrested (3) was an action against a youth over the age of 15 but under 18, which is an action under the Juvenile and Family Court Act and Juvenile and Family Trial Procedures B.E. 2010, section 69. and section 70.
