บทคัดย่อ
ปัญหาแรงงานข้ามชาติผิดกฎหมายเกิดจากความต้องการแรงงานในประเทศไทยที่สูงขึ้น แรงงานข้ามชาติผิดกฎหมายลักลอบเข้ามาในประเทศโดยอาศัยนายหน้าและเจ้าหน้าที่รัฐที่ทุจริต การลักลอบเกิดตามชายแดนประเทศไทยผ่านช่องทางธรรมชาติ ปัญหาแรงงานข้ามชาติผิดกฎหมายทำให้เกิดปัญหาต่าง ๆ ตามมารวมไปถึงการระบาดของโรคติดเชื้อไวรัสโคโรนา 2019 หรือ COVID-19 สาเหตุสำคัญที่ทำให้เกิดการระบาดระลอกใหม่ของ COVID-19 ได้แก่ การลักลอบผ่านเข้าประเทศอย่างผิดกฎหมายโดยไม่ผ่านการคัดกรองโรค การอาศัยอยู่กันอย่างแออัดและขาดสุขอนามัยที่ดี ปัญหาแรงงานข้ามชาติผิดกฎหมายควรมีการร่วมมือกันทั้งภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน และประชาชนในการแก้ปัญหา การแก้ปัญหาควรประกอบด้วยการป้องกันปราบปรามการลักลอบนำแรงงานเข้าประเทศอย่างผิดกฎหมาย การนำแรงงานข้ามชาติผิดกฎหมายให้เข้าสู่ระบบอย่างถูกต้องตามกฎหมาย และการคุ้มครองสิทธิด้านต่าง ๆ รวมไปถึงสิทธิด้านสุขภาพของแรงงานข้ามชาติ
