Multi-media Art from Lanna proverbs

Abstract
Research project entitled "Multimedia Art from Lanna Proverb," implies the research medium to integrate with Northern Thai local culture knowledge, harmonized with the approach to create contemporary art and to push this research to conform with Chiang Mai University's strategy on Creative Lanna.
The origin and importance of this research are; Lanna proverbs are thoughtful sentences or a language philosophy used to communicate to stimulate the lives of the local people in the north. The specialty in Lanna language idioms led the researcher desire to bring it into the core of research to create it as an experimental work of art which must search for meaning in the philosophy of the dialect and brought into the development of contemporary art works.
Research objectives for creating works of multimedia art are comprised of Lanna proverb which is the medium of stimulation for the audience to think and to realize the ethics of coexistence and to apply the proverbial Lanna to adjust the creation in the form of art, this will be another way of dissemination. In this regard, creative works on the research topic of “Multimedia Art from Lanna Proverbs” will consist of 2 sets of creations works: the stencil pattern of Lanna Proverb and Lanna Proverb Motion picture.
Both sets of creative works will communicate their meanings together under the concept of multimedia works of art as a medium to stimulate the audience to make sense of the Lanna Proverbs’ meaning. This is a way that allows the audience to have a different experience from learning the beliefs of Lanna proverbs in the original form.
Finally, creative work from this research successful development approach to brings the knowledge in the northern region, Lanna Craftsmanship and the introduction of Lanna proverbs as an important part of the creation of contemporary art. Which is in accordance with the university strategy in the area of creative Lanna. In addition, the researcher also gained experience as a guideline for the development of research topics related to the local education culture in the north and will be developed into research topics to create works of art in the next time.
