The Learning Activities on Constructivist Theory in Mathematic on Combinations to Develop Students’ Mathematics Learning Achievement of Grade 1 students

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: (1) to study the result of using Learning Activities on Constructivist Theory in Mathematic on Combinations for grade 1 students, the efficiency criteria of 80/ 80 (2) to compare students’ achievement by doing an activity before and after Learning Activities on Constructivist Theory in Mathematic on Combination for grade 1 students. (3) to study students’ satisfaction to Learning Activities on Constructivist Theory in Mathematic on Combination for grade 1 students. The sample group was 37 students of grade 1 of Suansanuk Municipal School in second semester of academic year 2017, which calculated by Cluster Random. The research instruments were: (1) lesson plans in mathematics through Constructivist Theory on combinations. (2) the mathematics achievement test which had 30 items with 3 multiple choices, discrimination 0.33-0.67, reliability 0.84 and (3) students’ satisfaction questionnaire to learning activities on Constructivist Theory in Mathematic on combinations which had 10 items with 3 rating scales. The statistics were: percentage, mean, standard deviation and dependent sample t-test.


The findings of the research were as follow:


1. the finding of learning activities on Constructivist Theory in Mathematic on Combinations for grade 1 students that researcher constructed 6 lessons had efficiency equal 80.34/ 84.14 which follows the expect standard.


2. the finding of students’ achievement of mathematics who had learned activities on Constructivist Theory in Mathematic on combinations for grade 1 students get better achievement an significant development in statistic at the level of 0.5 after taking this lesson. 


3. the finding of students’ satisfaction to learning activities on Constructivist Theory in Mathematic on Combination for grade 1 students found that all participants have satisfied at maximum level of satisfaction    (gif.latex?\bar{x} = 2.88, S.D.=0.37)
