The Report of the Project Evaluation on Students’ Analytical Thinking Skill using the Board Game Activities.

Abstract

The project evaluation on students ’analytical thinking skill using the board game activities purposed on these following, 1)to evaluate on students ‘analytical thinking skill using the boardgameactivities at Chongmawwittayakom School intermsof Context, Import Factors,Process,Production, and Effect. 2) to study on the problem and the Teaching approach for developing the students ’analytical thinking skill. The researcher used the evaluation of Daniel l. Stufflebeam model and CIPPI Model.
The research instrument were a questionnaire and an interview from a Sample group using Stratified Random Sampling which consisted of 12 teachers,24 students, 24 parents. The data were analyzed by percentage, mean, standard deviation. The resultsof the study were as following : 1) The project evaluationon students ’analytical thinking skill using the board game activities is in the highest level which were evaluated by the Sample group. 2) The Context evaluation had found that the project is suitable for the students in
the highest level. 3) The Import Factors evaluation had found that the project is suitable for the students inthehighest level. 4)TheProcessevaluationhad found that the project is suitablefor the students inthehighest level. 5) The productionevaluationhad found that the project is suitable for the students in the highest level. 6) The Effect evaluation had found that the project is suitable for the students in the highest level. From the study, the researcher found that there were some problem and suggestions by fol- lowing 1) the Context; we should using students’ need assessments before designing the activities for variety on learning 2) the Import Factor the students werenot the same level so we should pre-test for grouping the students by their abilities. We should prepare the good materials for class such as VDO and the important point was the activities should be performed by the teachers 3) the Process was focused ontiming sothe teacher should let all students got betterunderstanding on the activities. 4) the Production found that some of the students didn’t have a good responsibility so the teacher should explain and warm them up. 5) the Effect found that the budget was not enough for the activities but on the other hand the project could improve the students’ skill on O-NET testing that was the good function to the students for their future education.
