Main Article Content
Abstract
The purpose of the research were: 1) to study the basic data of mathematics teaching model using brain-based learning for Prathomsuksa 1st students. 2) to develop an instructional model of mathematics teaching model using brain-based learning for Prathomsuksa 1st students. 3) totryout mathematics teaching model and encouragestudents ability insolve problemsusing brainbased learning for Prathomsuksa 1st students. 4) to study student’s satisfaction to mathematics teaching model using brain-based learning for Prathomsuksa 1st students. The sample group was 34 students of Prathomsuksa 1/2 of Suansanuk Municipal School in the first semester of academic year 2018, whichcalculated by ClusterRandom Sampling.Theresearchinstruments were: 1) a mathematics lesson plans, 2) the mathematics achievement test, which had 20 items with 3 multiple choices, discrimination was 0.33 - 0.67, reliability was 0.81, 3) the test to show students’ ability in mathematics thinking which had 20 items with 3 multiple choices, discrimination was 0.33-0.78, reliability was
0.75 and 4) students’ satisfaction questionnaire to mathematics teaching model using brain-based learning for Prathomsuksa 1st students, which has 10 items with 3 rating scale. The statistics were: percentage, mean, standard deviation and dependent samples t-test
The findings of the research were as follows:
1) The finding of studying basic data found that students’ ability in solving problems was quiet low, the data percentage was 50.65 and mean was 10.13. At present, the problem solving should be encouraged as follows: 1) teaching preparation, 2) teaching activity and 3) teaching materials
2) The finding of developing an instructional model of mathematics teaching model using brain-based learning for Prathomsuksa 1st students, MODE Model, consisted of 7 main components, namely: 1) principles and concepts, 2) objectives, 3) content used in teaching, 4) Encouragement6) model.
3) The finding of try out an instructional model to encourage students’ ability in problem solving using brain-based teaching model learning found that students had higher achievement at level of significant .01, and level of significant of students problem solving ability was .05
4) The finding of students’ satisfaction to mathematics teaching model using brain-based teaching model learning found that all of participants satisfied most evaluation 7) model using.
5) instructional strategies, they were: step 1) Motivation, 2) Observation 3) Doing 4) Evaluation
