English Learning Management by using Supplementary Books Encouraged Reading to Support Reading for Main Idea Ability, Foreign Language Department (English) Prathomsuksa 4

Abstract

The objectives of English Learning Management by using Supplementary Books Encouraged Reading to support reading for Main Idea ability, Foreign language department (English) Prathomsuksa 4,PAO Bantaladnue(Wankroo 2502) school.The purposes of this study were 1) to develop and find out the efficiency of the supplementary English Learning Management by using Supplementary Books Encouraged Reading to support reading for Main Idea ability, Foreign language department (English) Prathomsuksa 4, with the efficiency value of 80/80 2) to compare the academic achievement students before and after the English Learning Management by using Supplementary Books Encouraged Reading to support reading for Main Idea ability, Foreign language department (English) Prathomsuksa 4, 3) to learning about reading for Main Idea ability of students byEnglish Learning Management by using Supplementary Books Encouraged Reading to support reading for Main Idea ability, Foreign language department (English) Prathomsuksa 4, 4) to study the students’ satisfaction about English Learning Management by using Supplementary Books Encouraged Reading to support reading for Main Idea ability, Foreign language department (English) Prathomsuksa 4. The sample of the study were 26 students in Prathomsuksa 4 at PAO Bantaladnue(Wankroo 2502) school in the second semester of academic year 2016, gained by cluster random sampling. The data collection instrument were 12 lesson plans, 5 supplementary books encouraged reading to support reading for main idea ability, foreign language department (English) Prathomsuksa 4, 30 items English reading test and questionnaire about the student’s satisfaction after using English Learning Management by using Supplementary Books Encouraged Reading to support reading for Main Idea ability, Foreign language department (English) Prathomsuksa 4. The research statistics used were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test (Dependent Sample).

The reseach result find that:
1. English Learning Management by using Supplementary Books Encouraged Reading to support reading for Main Idea ability, Foreign language department (English) Prathomsuksa 4 found average of the efficiency was totally equal (E₁/E₂) 85.38/90.86 higher than criteria (80/80).

2. The academic achievement students before and after the learning by English Learning Management by using Supplementary Books Encouraged Reading to support reading for Main Idea ability, Foreign language department (English) Prathomsuksa 4 was significantly at the .01 level which found that the students use English Learning Management by using Supplementary Books Encouraged Reading to support reading for Main Idea ability, Foreign language department (English) Prathomsuksa 4 has academic achievement after the learning higher than before the learning was significantly at the .01 level.

3. Reading for main Idea ability of English Learning Management by using Supplementary Books Encouraged Reading to support reading for Main Idea ability, Foreign language department (English) Prathomsuksa 4 after the learning higher than before the learning was significantly at the .01 level ( = 3.86).

4. The students’ satisfaction by using English Learning Management by using Supplementary Books Encouraged Reading to support reading for Main Idea ability, Foreign language department (English) Prathomsuksa 4 was at the high level ( = 4.64) .
