The Effecttiveness of Guidance Activities for Decision-Making in Higher Education Pathways Among Grade 12 Students

Abstract
The objectives of this research were to: 1) study students' self-exploration abilities according to their interests and aptitudes in deciding on higher education pathways before and after guidance activities, and 2) study student satisfaction with the guidance activities. The sample group in this research consisted of 32 Mathayom 6 (Grade 12) students from Saeng Chariyatham Wittaya School, selected by purposive sampling. The research instruments included guidance activity plans, a self-exploration measurement form based on interests and aptitudes, and a satisfaction assessment form. Statistics used for data analysis were mean, standard deviation, and the Wilcoxon signed-ranks test.
The research results revealed that scores from the self-exploration measurement form based on interests and aptitudes increased with statistical significance at the .05 level. Therefore, it can be concluded that after the guidance activities, students had higher scores in self-exploration abilities according to their interests and aptitudes compared to before the activities. Additionally, student satisfaction with the guidance activities was at a high level.
