Effects of Cooking Activity Provision on the English Reading Skills of Young Children

Abstract
The purpose of this research was to study the effects of cooking activities on English reading skills of Young children.
The target group used for this research was 25 boys and girls at the age of four to five years old from an English Program classroom who were enrolled in the second Kindergarten level in the second semester of 2018 at Anuban Suratthani School. The instruments used in this research were 24 lesson plans of cooking activities and 15 items of English reading skills
assessment forms. The data was collected in 8 weeks and it analyzed by mean, standard deviation, and content analysis.

The research results showed that young children who participated in cooking activities achieved English reading skill mean scores higher than their pretest mean scores. children before and after using of cooking activities on English reading skills of preschool children. meanscore wasb7.40 and the post cooking activities meanscore was13.64
