Abstract

This article aimed to research were 1) to determine leadership, organizational culture,organizational competency, organizational commitment, and effectiveness of  Primary Schools under the Office of the Basic Education Commission in The Special Administration Zone in the South, 2) to study the relationship between leadership, organizational culture, organizational competency, organizational commitment and effectiveness of Primary Schools under The Office of The Basic Education Commission in The Special Administration Zone in The South, and 3) to determine the consistency of the causal relationship model with empirical data. The research finding revealed that: 1) The leadership, organizational culture, organizational competency, organizational commitment and effectiveness of Primary Schools were at a moderate level. 2) The variables had the greatest effect on school effectiveness were organizational competency.The variables had the least effect on school effectiveness were the leaders. The organizational competency has a direct influence on school effectiveness with a coefficient of 0.991. The organizational culture had a statistically significant direct effect on school effectiveness with a coefficient of 0.179. The organizational commitment had a statistically significant direct effect on school effectiveness with a coefficient of 0.425 (t = 6.692 ,           p = .000) and the leadership had a significant negative effect on school effectiveness with a path coefficient of-.659. The model accounted eighty four (84) percent of the variance of school effectiveness 3) The model was fit to the empirical data. (  / df= 1.271, GFI  = 0.983, AGFI = 0.964,  RMSEA = 0.022)
