NEUROEDUCATION: CURRENT HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT FOR THE FUTURE

Abstract

Neuro-education integrates brain function, psychology, and lesson planning to improve the   efficiency of developing human intelligence. The goal is increasing human capital in Thai children now and in the future. There are several key observations that underpin this area of research. Early learners have a brain that is 80% developed compared to a mature adult. According to research from Social and Research Studies Department of Mahidol University, 23.1% of children develop slowly. Our country needs teachers who understand principals such as these in order to effectively apply the Neurosciences and psychology to creating lesson plans that address such phenomenon.Therefore, the Department of Early Education of Rajapak Nakornsawan University has developed and improved a new teacher curriculum based on the neuro-education study. This program will lay a good foundation for teachers to apply neuro-education, analyze knowledge, and plan lessons to help family and society better develop our young children.  The final result will be a better educated cohort of Thai citizens, supporting the continuing development of the country.The national 20 year strategy depends on strong citizens. Early childhood teachers will be able to support the strategy through application of the Rajapak Nakornsawan University neuro-education early childhood curriculum.
