NEEDS ASSESSMENT OF TEACHERS PARTICIPATION IN IMPROVEMENT PLAN FOR THE EDUCATION QUALITY OF SCHOOLS UNDER THE CHACHOENGSAO PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE 1

Abstract

           This objectives of this research were to assess the need of teacher’s participation in improvement plan for the education quality of schools under the chachoengsao primary educational service area office 1. The samples were 324 of teachers in chachoengsao primary educational service area office 1 by using multi - stage random. The research instrument was 5 rating - scale questionnaire. The reliability of perceived in actual is 0.978 and the reliability of perceived in expectation is 0.972. The data was analyzed by mean, standard deviation, and priority needs index modified (PNI_modified).

            The result found that 1) the perceived in actual of participation in improvement plan for the education quality of schools were at the moderate level ( = 3.01, S = 1.294)and the perceived in expectation of participation in improvement plan for the education quality of schools were at the high level (= 4.57, S = 0.666) 2) The teachers need to participate in establish a strategy for educational development of educational institutions were first. Participation in setting the direction of educational management of educational institutions were second. Participation in the appointing of a work group to prepare an educational quality development plan were third. Participation in the preparating of educational management development plans of educational institutions that focus on quality according to educational standards of educational institutions were fourth. Participation in the analysis of data on the internal and external conditions of the educational institution were fifth and participation in collecting information about the internal and external conditions of the educational institution were last.
