A Study on Integration of Pedagogical Content Knowledge in Development of Learning Activities under PISA Test on mathematical Learning with Core Curriculum for Teachers in the 21st Century through Professional Learning Community

Abstract

The objectives of this research are: 1) to develop teachers and students to have knowledge and understanding on Integration of Pedagogical Content Knowledge in Development of Learning Activities under PISA Test on mathematical Learning with Core Curriculum; 2) to develop Best Practice in learning activity management under PISA Test on mathematical Learning with Core Curriculum; 3) to study on opinions towards Integration of Pedagogical Content Knowledge in Development of Learning Activities under PISA Test on mathematical Learning with Core Curriculum. The research was conducted in the form of Action Research) and the research duration was during 2019 semester. The target group of this research consisted of 200 mathematical students and 60 mathematical teachers. The research tools were Assessment Form on Knowledge and Understanding, Assessment Form on Best Practices, and Questionnaire. Statistics used for analyzing data were mean, percentage, and Standard Deviation. The results revealed that:

1. Knowledge and understanding of students and teachers on Integration of Pedagogical Content Knowledge in Development of Learning Activities under PISA Test on mathematical Learning with Core Curriculum was calculated to be 71.58% that was considered as moderate level.
2. Best Practice was promoting the skills on creative mathematical problems solving of Secondary 4 students of Sawang Dan Din School, Sakol Nakhorn, by using CS6 Model.
3. The results of the study on Integration of Pedagogical Content Knowledge in Development of Learning Activities under PISA Test on mathematical Learning with Core Curriculum revealed that the respondents had agreement level in high level with mean of 3.99 and Standard Deviation of 0.79. When considering on each issue, it was found that mathematical teachers had the highest agreement level on curriculum followed by teachers, and learning activities, respectively.
