Abstract

Generation Z is a group of people who was born between 1995 and 2009. They grew up and learned with the advancements in technology. As a result, they have the ability to learn and search for information quickly. Due to the current technological changes, this group of learners should be developed to have higher order thinking skills and build their own body of knowledge through actual practice in order to acquire the essential competencies and the twenty-first century skills which are needed for the changes of global and national contexts, now and in the future. They will be the important human resources who potentially drive the development of the country.

Student-centered learning activities focus on developing students’ learning in accordance with the needs of generation Z learners through various teaching methods such as small group discussions, case studies, dramatization, role-playing, games, etc. These encourage learners to build their knowledge through a variety of learning sources that are up-to-date. Designing a learning process which is suitable for individual learning style will help develop the learning ability of generation Z learners to have key competencies of the expected learning outcomes of the course effectively.
