The objectives of this research were to study the contexts of academic administration, to develop an academic administration model to enhance school learning achievement, and to evaluate the propriety and feasibility of the academic administration model of the schools under Suratthani City Municipality in Suratthani province. The purposive sampling method was applied to select 160 samples including academic affairs heads, department heads, and class heads. The random sampling method was applied to select 222 teachers. The research instruments consisted of an academic administration questionnaire, a questionnaire about school academic administration factors, and a model assessment on its propriety and feasibility. The data were statistically analyzed for frequency, mean, percentage and standard deviation, and the exploratory factor analysis was also conducted.The research results showed that the overall contexts of academic administration, were at a moderate level. The highest one was the curriculum development, followed by the measurement and evaluation, the supervision, and learning management. There are four components and 28 indicators of the academic administration model. These are six indicators for curriculum development, seven indicators for learning management, eight indicators for measurement and evaluation, and seven indicators for supervision and monitoring. The KMO was 0.626 and χ2was 1733.144 with the significance level of .05, and the propriety and feasibility of the academic administration model were at a high level.KEYWORDS: Model, Academic Administration, Learning Achievement, Schools under Municipality
