History and Development

2005

The Graduate School, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University established the “Ueang Kham Journal” (ISSN 1686-3704) to serve as a platform for the dissemination of academic contributions and educational research.

2010

The journal’s policies were revised as follows:
1) The title was changed from “Ueang Kham Journal” to “Journal of Graduate Research.” The first issue of the Journal of Graduate Research was published as ISSN 2229-2756 (Print), Volume 1, Issue 1 (June–September 2010), with Assistant Professor Dr. Seri Pansang serving as Editor.
2) The journal aimed to disseminate research articles and academic articles in both Thai and English.
3) The scope of publication covered education, educational science, psychology, sociology, economics, business administration, and management.
4) Published articles were reviewed by qualified experts (reviewers) in relevant fields, with at least two reviewers per article.

2011

The journal’s policies were revised as follows:

1) The Editor was changed to Assistant Professor Dr. Patthumrat Naknittha, beginning with Volume 2, Issue 1 (January–June 2011).
2) The journal was published twice a year: Issue 1 (January–June) and Issue 2 (July–December).
3) The publication scope included humanities, social sciences, education, information science, administration and management, agricultural science, science and technology, with emphasis on contributions valuable to local and regional development.

2012

The journal’s policies were revised as follows:
1) The Editor was changed to Assistant Professor Dr. Puangpayom Chitthong, beginning with Volume 3, Issue 1 (January–June 2012).
2) The publication scope included education, educational science, psychology, sociology, economics, business administration, and management, beginning with Volume 3, Issue 1 (January–June 2012) through Volume 10, Issue 2 (July–December 2019).

2013–2015

The Editor was changed to Assistant Professor Dr. Anodar Ratchawet, who served as Editor-in-Chief from Volume 4, Issue 2 (July–December 2013) through Volume 6, Issue 2 (July–December 2015).

2015

The journal was indexed in Tier 2 of the Thai-Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI) in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences, effective from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2020.

2016–2023

The Editor was changed to Assistant Professor Acting Captain Dr. Khajorn Treesopanakorn, who served as Editor-in-Chief from Volume 7, Issue 1 (January–June 2016) through Volume 14, Issue 2 (July–December 2023).

2017

The journal began electronic publication under ISSN 2651-1401 (Online), starting from Volume 8, Issue 2 (July–December 2017) onward.

2018

The journal adopted a double-blind peer review process, in which the reviewers do not know the identities of the authors and the authors do not know the identities of the reviewers, beginning with Volume 9, Issue 2 (July–December 2018) onward.

2020

Revised the publication scope to focus specifically on the following fields: educational administration, learning management, early childhood education, elementary education, curriculum and instruction, science education, educational psychology, social studies, educational research and evaluation, physical education and health education, educational technology and innovation, special education, and other fields related to education. The revised scope has been effective from Volume 11, Issue 1 (January–June 2020) onward.

2021

The journal’s policies were revised as follows:
1) The journal underwent evaluation and was indexed in Tier 1 of the Thai-Journal Citation Index (TCI) in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences, effective from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2024.
2) Authors wishing to withdraw a manuscript that has already entered the review process after peer review are required to pay a manuscript withdrawal fee of THB 2,000 per article, effective from Volume 12, Issue 2 (July–December 2021) onward.
3) The article processing charge (APC) for manuscripts submitted by authors from both internal and external institutions was set at THB 3,500 per article, effective from July 31, 2021 onward.

2022

Revised the minimum number of peer reviewers per article from at least 2 reviewers to 3 reviewers, effective from Volume 13, Issue 1 (January–June 2022) through Volume 17, Issue 2 (July–December 2026).

2023

Articles involving human subjects are required to submit a certificate of human research ethics approval, effective from Volume 14, Issue 1 (January–June 2023) onward.

2024

The Editor-in-Chief was changed to Assistant Professor Dr. Nattida Supahan, effective from Volume 15, Issue 1 (January–June 2024) onward.

2025

The journal underwent evaluation and indexed in Tier 1 of the Thai-Journal Citation Index (TCI) in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences, effective from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2029.

2026

Discontinued publication of the print version of the journal under ISSN 2229-2756 (Print), effective from Volume 17, Issue 2 (July–December 2026) onward. The journal retains only the electronic version under ISSN 2651-1401 (Online).

2027

The journal’s policies were revised as follows:
1) The Article Processing Charge (APC) was increased from THB 3,500 per article to THB 4,500 per article.
2) The minimum number of peer reviewers per article was adjusted to at least 2 reviewers, effective from Volume 18, Issue 1 (January–June 2027) onward. However, manuscripts submitted for consideration before August 2026 will continue to undergo the review process by 3 qualified peer reviewers.
