Abstract

The objective of this research was to analyze the core competency and the functional
competency factors affecting work efficiency of lecturers in The higher education institutes,
Nakhonratchasima (NRM) Province. The research population was 1,666 lecturers in the higher
education institutes in NRM. In the multistage sampling, 400 lecturers were selected as representative
from 6 institutes included Suranaree University of Technology, Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat
University, Rajamangala University of Technology Isan, Vongchavalitkul University, Phanomwan
College of Technology, and Nakhon Ratchasima College. The statistical model of the Multiple
Regression Analysis was used to analyze the hypothesis in this research. The research results
were found that (1) the most samples were female, single, master degree of education, academic
position as lecturer, less than 5 years of teaching experiences, the average monthly income of
15,000 - 25,999 baht, at the institutions of the government, teaching for 6-10 hours per week and
in the faculty of social sciences and humanities, and (2) the core competency and the functional
competency factors have a positive significant influence on the work efficiency of lecturers in the
higher education institutes in Nakhonratchasima province with the resulted statistic of 0.05.
