Abstract
The experimental research aimed to 1) compare the learning achievements of students in grade 1 before and after learning through Torrance creative thinking learning management process, and 2) compare the mathematical creativity of students in grade 1 learning through Torrance creative thinking learning management process with the average criteria at 75. The subjects of the study were 12 grade 1 students in 1 class at Ban Tahbundai, Trang Province in the first semester of 2015 academic year. The Subjects were selected by using cluster random sampling method using schools as clusters. The research instruments were 1) 8 lessons plans of Unit 7: The addition and subtraction of counting numbers that are not more than 20, which were constructed according to Torrance creative thinking learning management process, 2) an achievement test, and 3) Mathematical Creativity Test. The data obtained were analyzed to find out means, standard deviation and pretest and posttest means were compared by t-test dependent samples.
The findings were as follows:
- The results revealed that The learning achievement of the student in grade 1 after learning through Torrance creative thinking learning management process was higher than the achievement before learning at .01 level of significance.
- The mathematical creativity of students in grade 1 after learning through Torrance creative thinking learning management process was higher than the average criteria at 75 at .01 level of significance.
