การมีส่วนร่วมของผู้สูงอายุต่อกิจกรรมการพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตของเทศบาลตำบลหลักห้า อำเภอบ้านแพ้ว จังหวัดสมุทรสาคร

Abstract

This research aimed to: 1) study the level of elderly participation in Lak Ha Subdistrict Municipality, 2) examine the effects after the implementation of the developed activities, and (3) develop suggestions to upgrade the level of elderly’s quality of life. The samples of 385 registered elderly of Lak Ha Subdistrict Municipality, obtained through multi-stage sampling, were administrated using a set of questionnaires. The samples of seven participants, including elderly people, administrators and officers of Lak Ha Subdistrict Municipality, selected by a purposive sampling, were interviewed for qualitative data collection.

            The results revealed that 1) the level of elderly participation in ​​Lak Ha Subdistrict Municipality, as a whole was at a high level, 2) the effects of the implementation of the developed activities, as a whole was at a high level and 3) the suggestions for upgrading the level of quality of life for elderly people should include policies which are defined in accordance with the development in each aspect to determine the projects attached to budget support and public relations for encouraging elderly people to participate in the activities regularly.
