Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1) to investigate the current conditions and problems of the technology acceptance of cloud computing to support personnel work at Nakhon Phanom Technical College.

The interviews were carried out with five administrators and 19 system operators for data collection. 2) to analyze the technology acceptance factors of cloud computing to support personnel work at Nakhon Phanom Technical College. A questionnaire was distributed to a sample of five administrators, 61 teachers and 19 operational staff, yielding a total of 85 respondents. and 3) to establish the guidelines for promoting the technology acceptance of cloud computing to support personnel work at Nakhon Phanom Technical College.  Data was collected through a group of discussion with seven specialists. The quantitative data was analyzed by percentage, mean, frequency, and standard deviation. The content analysis was employed to analyzed the information gained from a group discussion.

            The results revealed that:

1. In terms of conditions and problems, Nakhon Phanom Technical College had a policy on adopting

cloud computing technology for work support of administrators, teachers, and supportive staff. However, the problems on quality of internet connection were found, for example multiple users caused the connection speed to slow down and limit the accessibility for data storage, data integration and data presentation.

1. The 15 factors contributed to the acceptance of cloud computing technology, as a whole were

at a high level. The first three most influential factors consisted of the pleasure of using the computer, the recognition of external control, and the recognized fun and enjoyment.

1. The guidelines to promote the acceptance of cloud computing technology to support personnel

work at Nakhon Phanom Technical College, Nakhon Phanom Province involved the fully support of all aspects concerning information technology. The first three aspects which were highly recommended were: 1) a provision of high-speed internet services, 2) modern and friendly user software computer programs or applications, and  3) personnel meetings to discuss issues related to importance of cloud computing technology coupled with transferring concepts and ideas considered or implemented by utilities cloud computing technology.
