Abstract

The objectives of this research were to develop Chinese reading skill and critical thinking skill by using memory technique and reinforcement for Mathayomsuksa 1 students. The population of this study was Mathayomsuksa 1 students at Wiang Chiang Rung Witthayakhom school under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 36, in the first semester of academic year 2017. The research instruments were lesson plans based on memory technique and reinforcement, Chinese reading skill test, critical thinking test, and a satisfaction evaluation form toward learning Chinese language.


            The results revealed that the students, learnt through the developed learning activities, gained higher  average scores of Chinese reading skill and critical thinking skill than students learning by conventional method at the statistically significant level of .01 and 05, respectively. The satisfaction of students who learnt through the developed learning activities toward learning Chinese language was at the highest level.
