Development of the Learning Environment on the Internet Network Based on the Constructivist Theory Promoting the Problem-Solving Process on the Topic of “the Design and the Management of the Computer Network Systems in the Organizations” for the Undergraduate Students in the Faculty of Science and Technology, Surindra Rajabhat University

Abstract

            The objectives of the research were: 1) to develop the learning environment on the internet network based on the constructivist theory promoting the problem-solving process on the topic of “the design and the management of the computer network systems in the organizations,” for  the undergraduate students in the faculty of Science and Technology, Surindra Rajabhat University to meet the 80/80 criterion, 2) to compare learning achievement and problem-solving skills by using information before and after learning, 3) to study the students’ satisfaction towards learning the learning environment on the internet network based on the constructivist theory promoting the problem-solving process. The samples, randomized by cluster sampling, were 39 students majoring in the Information Technology program from the faculty of Science and Technology, Surindra Rajabhat University. The research instruments were the learning environment on the internet network based on the constructivist theory promoting the problem-solving process on the topic of “the design and the management of the computer network systems in the organizations,” a learning achievement test, a test for evaluating the problem-solving skills by using information, and a questionnaire asking for the students’ satisfaction towards learning. The statistics were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test.

            The research findings were found as follows.

1. The efficiency of the learning environment on the internet network based on the constructivist theory promoting the problem-solving process on the topic of “the design and the management of the computer network systems in the organizations” was at 87.66/80.25.
2. The mean score of the learning achievement and the problem-solving skills by using information for the undergraduate students at Surindra Rajabhat University after learning was higher than that before learning at the level of .05.
3. The level of the students’ satisfaction towards learning was at a high level.
