Management of Dance Performance: A Case Study of the 6th Educational Achievement Show Project

Abstract

Management of dance performance was another way to build credibility and good attitudes towards organizations. This meant that the Dance Department, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University had objectives to show the integrated knowledge in managing the dance performance and to develop a model in managing the dance performance to be more effective. This could be done by collecting documentary information, interviewing, observing, searching for information technologies, providing self-experiences, and studying guidelines to solve the problems occurring in the two previous projects. The problems of the two previous problems consisted of three aspects: 1) public relation that was now wide, 2) the audience recruitment, and 3) the overall of the management of the performing components. Therefore, the researcher held the 6th Educational Achievement Show Project by adding the management knowledge to the project’s procedures, namely, preparing, planning, implementing based on the planning, monitoring and controlling the project, and closing the event or the project to bring all of the problems occurring during holding the project to be analyzed in order to solve the problems. In solving the problems, the researcher investigated in the perception of the receivers, a number of the audiences with the full seats in the show, and the participation of the central management done smoothly according to the assignments of each section affecting good response from the audiences towards this project.
