4 ACCESS TO EMPLOYMENT THAT IS SUITABLE AND MEETS THE NEEDS OF ENTERPRISES IN HIRING ELDERLY WORKERS IN NAKHON SAWAN PROVINCE

Abstract

This research is qualitative research. The objective is to analyze job characteristics that are appropriate and meet the needs of establishments in hiring elderly workers in Nakhon Sawan Province. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with key informants, including managing directors or representatives of establishments. where 15 elderly people were hired to work and group discussions from representatives of establishments expert and related agencies, totaling 15 people, analyzed data using the content analysis method.


               The research results found that


  1. Types of work suitable for the elderly include (1) work in the same position held before retirement/working (2) consulting work (3) customer service/cleaning work (4) work in the office/document work, (5) gardening work, cutting grass, decorating branches, and (6) security work

               2.Employment of establishments has factors that determine whether to employ elderly people or not, including: (1) Company policy. This is a very important part. If there is no such policy, retired employees will not be able to continue working. (2) Regulations regarding employment that the company sets. (3) Regarding the culture of the organization/ company that affect the elderly (4) regarding the elderly, such as health problems Do you want to continue working? Knowledge and expertise, and (5) measures for exempting income tax from companies or juristic partnerships. For the money that was paid It is the wages for seniors aged sixty years and over to work.
