Factors Affecting Development of Farmers’ Potential for Leadership in Production of Chae Son Mineral Water Rice Environmental Conservation in Lampang Province

Abstract
The objective of this research was to study factors affecting the development of farmers’ potential to be a leadership of production for Chae Son mineral water rice environmental conservation in Lampang Province. The method studied the data from activities related to production process in the supply chain and value chain analysis of Chae Son mineral water rice. This research found a group of farmers having a supply chain that starts from farmers growing rice in Chae Son mineral water and then collected paddy to process of milled rice as the manufacturer of the upstream supply chain. Finally, milled rice is distributed to the consumers by traders as downstream in the supply chain. The analysis of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats found soil and Chae Son mineral water is an appropriate physical capital, farmers are human capital with intellectual capital, social capital and cultural capital. Also, receiving support from various agencies in the community was the important factors for opportunity to potential development of farmer in leadership in the production of Chae Son mineral water rice, and causing the prototype of the production of Chae Son mineral water rice environmental conservation.
