Lanna Buddhist Painting : The morals and beliefs into Creativity Through Mural Painting

This research article It has three objectives: 1) to study the history of Lanna Buddhist paintings 2) to analyze the morals and beliefs that appear in the Lanna Buddhist paintings through murals 3) to synthesize the body of knowledge in creating Buddhist painting of Lanna This is a qualitative research.

The results showed that. 1)Buddhist painting is an art that reflects the wisdom of a painter who creates imagination and inspiration, as well as gathers knowledge in other fields. used to convey thoughts and feelings into a painting tell a story about Buddhism community way of life and the culture, traditions and traditions of Lanna.

2) Morality and beliefs appear in the murals in each Lanna temple. Distinguish the content of morals and beliefs from Buddhist paintings into 5 groups: (1) Buddha history (2) Thotsachat Jataka (3) Phra Malai (4) Jataka outside Nibat (5) Traditions and beliefs of Lanna These factors have been compiled. and used to analyze the morals and beliefs of the Lanna people in order to create a work of Lanna Buddhist painting.

3) Knowledge of Lanna Buddhist Painting Creation able to reflect the body of knowledge in various aspects, divided into 4 areas: (1) reflecting the way of life (2) the belief in Triphum (3) nurturing and inheriting religion (4) reflecting the popularity of art education in each era to bring knowledge to create paintings related to Buddhism forever.
