Study of the Effectiveness of Reconciliation Conflict Management with the Mediation of Muangthi Sub-district Municipality, Mueang District, Surin Province

Abstract

This research article to study the conflict problems of communities and to study the effectiveness of reconciliation conflict management with the mediation of Muangthi Sub-district, Municipality, Mueang District, Surin Province. This research was the mixed quantitative and qualitative method. The sampling groups were 334 respondents and key informants were 10 for qualitative data. The research tools were the questionnaire and structural
interview form. The data were collected by questionnaire distribution, personal interview and focus group discussion. There were 2 variables comprising the
independent variable, i.e. basic information of respondents, and the dependent variable, i.e. the effectiveness of reconciliation conflict management with the mediation of Muangthi Sub-district Municipality, Mueang District, Surin Province. The statistics used in this research were basic and comparative statistics and the data were analyzed by the program of statistically social data analysis.

The research results were found that the problems of reconciliation conflict management with mediation classified following the variables were different with no statistically significant vale at.05. The effectiveness of
reconciliation conflict management with the mediation was overall in the high level (x̄ = 4.03, S.D = 0.287). Items were classified from high to levels, i.e. the service process and step at the highest level (x̄= 4.30, S.D. = 0.234), the service at the high level (x̄= 3.98, S.D. = 0.290), and the operation at the high level (x̄= 3.81, S.D. = 0.448).
