Abstract

The dissertation entitled, "The Zimme Paṇṇāsa Jātaka No. 21-30 : Transliteration, Translation and Comparative Study" has the following objectives: 1) To exchange and translate Paṇṇāsa Jātaka version of Chiang Mai Or Simme Paṇṇāsa Jātaka, story 21-30 of the Pali, Roman script, into the Pali, Thai script 2) For comparative study of Paṇṇāsa Jātaka issue 21-30 with the Thai edition of the Fine Arts Department National Library Edition Silpa Bankan Publisher And the Lanna edition oversees by Pichit Agganich In the aspect of characters, idioms, language, style, and composing. This research is a documentary research. By presenting the descriptive research results.

Paṇṇāsa Jātaka, Chiang Mai edition, issue 21-30, The researcher exchanged from Pali, Roman script to Pali, Thai script. After exchanging, inspecting, and interpreting, the study was compared with the National Library and Lanna editions of characters, idioms, language and style of composing. The characters are slightly different. The Chiang Mai version uses all Pali expressions. The National Library version uses Pali idioms like the Chiang Mai version. The difference is that only Pali comes from short sentences. Other than using Thai idioms. The story to the end That Lanna version Using the Pali idioms and translated into the Lanna dialect, the style of the Chiang Mai edition is composed in simple, uncomplicated sentences The National Library version has a sentence form in Pali like the Chiang Mai version.
