The objectives of this thematic paper were 1) to study the present state and problems of the model of community’s participation in student activity administration, 2) to study the development of the model of community’s participation in student activity administration By Ban Pang Mayao School, Chiang Dao District, Chiang Mai Province under the Office of Chiang Mai Primary Education Service Area 3. The study data were collected through documentary study, interview, and focus group discussion. The obtained data were then synthesized and categorized. The research results were presented in explanatory description.
The research findings showed that the model of Ban Pang Mayao School Administration was well-planned by means of appointing responsible personnel, making a clear-cut plan for performance and for student activity development. But there were still some problems. That is, the administrator and the teacher were changed so often that it discontinued administration planning. And no community representative took part in activity planning. The important factors involved were that in an area of the education service there was a diversity of the ethnic groups, whose lifestyle was different; there was a long distance between community and school; the student guardians speak their own dialect in their daily lives; there was a shortage of appropriate welfare allotment; and the community people did not understand evaluation principle, thinking that it was responsibility of the school. As a consequence, the community was not interested in taking part in the school activity. 2.This research it was discovered that there was the way to developing the model of community’s participation in student activity administration, Ban Pang Mayao School, Chiang Dao District, Chiang Mai Province under the Office of Chiang Mai Primary Education Service Area 3 in three steps : The Participatory strategy in education administration based on creating individual conscience in participation in operation planning, monitoring, and readjusting the meeting schedule, public relations, and creating network. The Strengthening the potential of the guardians and community representatives in education administration through exchanging communication development and the utilizing of the network of the guardians and community representatives.
