APPLICATION OF THE BRAHMAVIHARA PRINCIPLES IN TEACHING OF THE TEACHERS OF MUNICIPAL SCHOOL1, BAN KLANG, MUEANG DISTRICT, LAMPHUN PROVINCE

Abstract

The thesis was aimed; 1) to study the application of the Principles of Brahmavihara in the teaching of the teachers, 2) to study the problems and obstacles of applying the principles of Brahmavihara in the teaching of the teachers, and 3) to study the benefits of applying the principle of Brahmavihara in the teaching of the teachers. In this study, the researcher conducted qualitative research by studying the relevant documents and performing in-depth interview with 12 selected samples that included 1) 10 teachers in learning areas, and 2) 2 Kindergarten teachers and various writings. The research was then described in correspondence with the order of the research.

                 The research found that 1) the teachers had applied the principles of Brahmavihara in the teaching by having courtesy and generosity towards the learners, using no excessive power with learners, using the methods of creating morale, giving praise, being punctual in teaching, assigning tasks according to their knowledge and sharing duties and responsibilities in work for the students., 2) the teachers could not have appropriate sympathy towards all students because each student had different behaviors. They were uninterested in learning and they were so unafraid of teachers’ punishment that they disobey the teacher., and 3) the benefits of applying the principles of Brahmavihara in teaching were that the students had love and obedience in preaching as well as good interactions with teachers and they were proud of their works that were appreciated while the teachers were neutral in judging the problems that arose.
